For over 900 years Farnham Castle was home to the Bishops of Winchester, who were amongst the most prominent men in the kingdom - after all, Winchester was the wealthiest diocese in England. In the medieval Great Hall or the Bishop's Camera great events were discussed, plots schemed, and prayers spoken. It was also a favoured stop for kings and queens, from the early Middle Ages onwards, who appreciated Farnham's location and the access to hundreds of square miles of hunting. The Bishop's Palace and Farnham Castle, sit at the top of Castle Street, one of the finest Georgian streets in the country, and adjacent to the magnificent Farnham Park.
There are guided tours of the Bishop's Palace most Wednesday afternoons 2-4pm. Last tour 3:45PM.

Tours are free to under 18s, students and HHA members. Others £5 each.
